CONTACT Community Helplines' primary mission is to LISTEN to people confronting crisis or in need and, where appropriate, refer them to other agencies and organizations whose services they may require or benefit from. Maintains a CRISIS INTERVENTION 24 HOUR HELPLINE - The Helplines are manned by trained volunteers and are in operation 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All calls are strictly confidential and conducted on a non-judgmental basis. Telephone Reassurance Program - Trained volunteers who make daily telephone calls to Gloucester County Seniors who live alone, to check on their safety and call for help if needed. It is also available for the deaf and hearing impaired through the use of TTY machines. Call will come every day at a time you and your volunteer agree upon.
