In order to provide our residents with apartments of their own, NJCDC has developed a facility consisting of 12 one-bedroom apartments in the Borough of Hawthorne, on land donated by the municipality. Residents are offered a variety of supportive services to help them live independently. The residents of Hawthorne Heights move up the ladder of independence by managing their own apartments, with staff on-site to provide assistance as necessary. A common room and backyard offers residents space to socialize and provides a sense of community.
