Description:
Provides information and assistance, recreational activities, advocacy, assistance with various forms, (e.g., PAAD, Senior Gold, etc.) and oversees the distribution of federal funds under the Older Americans Act, and Title III to various agencies which provide services pertaining to the well-being of Burlington County's elderly population. This program provides a supplement to the assistance an individual receives from his/her natural support network of family, friends, and neighbors as well as from community agencies and volunteer groups. Global Option provides case management, respite care, homemaker services, environmental accessibility adaptations, personal emergency response systems, home delivered meal service, caregiver/recipient training, social adult day care, special medical equipment and supplies, chore services, transportation, attendant care and home-based supportive care to those 65 or older or 21-64 and on Social Security Disability; resides in a unlicensed residence; has received a pre-admission screening and has been determined to require nursing facility level of care; qualifies for SSI in the community or qualifies for Medicaid only; qualifies for New Jersey Care. Participants share in the cost of their services.
