Founded in 1908 and sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy, Georgian Court University is a comprehensive, coeducational university with a strong liberal arts core and historic, special concern for women. The 156 acre campus in Lakewood, NJ., sits on the picturesque former George Jay Gould estate, which is a National Historic Landmark and an arboretum. Georgian Court serves more than 2,200 women and men of all faiths and backgrounds in undergraduate and graduate programs, and promotes excellence through scholarship, diversity and service.
