Description:
Protective Services for the elderly is a program of socio-legal intervention for persons in Monmouth County who are being psychologically, physically, or financially abused or neglected by their caretaker or family. The program is sponsored by Family and Children’s Service. Disabled persons 18 years and older who live alone and are unable to care for themselves or protect themselves from jeopardy are also served.
Money Management Program - Volunteers balance checkbooks and pay bills for people who remain in control of their finances.
Statewide Respite Care Program - This program provides respite services to families experiencing fatigue and stress due to long-term caregiving of frail elderly and/or disabled relatives. Priority is given to families where the impaired member is at risk of long-term institutionalization due to the inability of the caregiver to continue in the role. 732-222-9111
