Rent Subsidies (Section 8 H.U.D.) - Passaic County. Rental assistance available to residents who meet income eligibility requirements and whose landlords are willing to sign a lease with a housing authority or agency. Persons who have been approved for a rent subsidy, pay 30% of their income towards their rent and heat and utilities and the Department of Housing and Urban Development pays the balance through local Housing Agencies.
