Description:
Aphasia is a loss of communication ability due to a stroke, where intellect is not affected. The Adler Center offers a variety of programs and activities to those with Aphasia and to their caregivers. The emphasis is on support, caring, and encouragement to make up for the loss of talking, writing, reading, or being able to understand one or more of the forms of communication. Programs are provided to enhance a needed means of communication, and to facilitate opportunities for volunteering to aid, or be aided, back to a meaningful lifestyle.
