Paramus Human Services provides professional, confidential consultations to vulnerable residents living in challenging circumstances. A wide spectrum of services is offered to individuals and families, including: •Needs Assessments, •Information & Referral, •Outreach to disabled and frail elderly, •Liaison to police, transportation, housing programs; local, county, state programs, •Food Pantry (Paramus residence), •Paramus Freindly Neighbors programs. Human Services address the needs of the elderly, disabled, unemployed, single parent households as well as those dealing with mental health and substance abuse. The goal of Human Services is to provide a safety net for residents in need. Services are urgent, preventive or supportive in nature. Consultations and Outreaches are solution-focused Needs Assessments designed to empower the individual to take care of themselves. The objective is to enable people to achieve their highest potential using natural community supports with the least amount of social services necessary.
